Princess Lalla Salma, consort of Mohamed VI, king of Morocco, has been chosen by American magazine The Richest among the Top 10 Most Beautiful First Ladies in the World.
Princess Lalla Salma ranked eighth in the list, ahead of Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan (ninth), and the first lady of Ivory Coast, Dominique Ouattara (tenth).
The American magazine described the consort of King Mohamed VI as an “extremely beautiful first lady,” and an intellectual woman who is passionate about health matters.
Jordanian Queen Rania topped the list as the most beautiful first lady, followed by Azerbaijan’s first lady, Mehriban Aliyeva and Asma Al-Assad, first lady of Syria.
In addition to her stunning elegance, Princess Lalla Salma has also founded the “Lalla Salma Foundation for Prevention and Treatment of Cancers” in 2005, which is working to fight cancer.
Princess Lalla Salma is known for being the most emblematic representative of Morocco’s Caftan, Morocco’s traditional and sophisticated dress. In 2011, she attended the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in London, while wearing a pale pink and gold Caftan.
The UK celebrity news magazine Hello, then, chose Lalla Salma, as the most elegant and attractive guest of the royal wedding.
Later in 2013, The UK’s magazine elected her as the most elegant and attractive woman, attending the coronation ceremony of the new Dutch King, Willem-Alexander.
In 2014, American website Richest Lifestyle ranked Lalla Salma third world’s most beautiful first lady. In the same year, the Moroccan princess was elected as the most beautiful first lady in Africa.
