Out of the US have reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are on the verge of calling it quits.
Nothing would shake up 2016 more than the separation of Brangelina! The 40-year-old actress has been with her heartthrob for over a decade, but if reports out of the US are to be believed, their marriage is on the brink of a breakdown.
According to American mag In Touch Weekly, the Hollywood power couple have “been living separate lives” while dealing with marriage problems for more than a year.
Despite tying the knot in 2014, the mag alleges that the screen icons are not happy with their marriage.
It appears things have gone downhill since their last public appearance in November last year at the By The Sea premiere.
“Dedicating their lives to film work, human rights and their children left them little time for each other,” the source explained before adding that when they do manage to get together, they end up “squabbling” or passing the time in “frozen silence.”
Just this week Angie attended her latest film, Kung Fu Panda’s premiere with the kids but no Brad in sight.
Brad went solo to the Globes, while Angie took her kids Pax, 12, Zahara,11, Shiloh, nine, and her twins Knox and Vivienne, seven, to the Kung Fu Panda premiere.
The 52-year-old actor also rocked up solo to the Golden Globes where he was photographed whispering to his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston’s good friend Selena Gomez.
The pair met on the set of Brad’s latest movie The Big Short, where the 21-year-old makes a cameo appearance.
According to InTouch’s insider, “Their alone time [has] dissolved into a tense negotiation over how they’ll keep the family going after the divorce. [They] will each spend time with their kids, individually and collectively, just like they’ve done in the past.”
Selena Gomez shared this intimate snap on Instagram of her chatting with Brad at the Globes.
Angelina has never hidden the fact that her relationship takes work.
“We have fights and problems like any other couple,” she told The Telegraph just last November. “We have days when we drive each other absolutely mad and want space.”
Brad and Ange, who fell in love on the set of their first film Mr and Mrs Smith, are expected to move to London in March. The entire Jolie-Pitt brood will join Brad while he films the sequel to his hit 2013 movie World War Z.
