Shehu Sani is a senator of Federal Repulic Of Nigeria representing Kaduna Central. He distributed 100,000 transistor radios to the people of his zone in Kaduna state yesterday January 24. According to him, the transistor radios will help raise the political consciousness of the people as well as global events.
in his words,this is the part of the country where the major source of information is the radio. Radio is an empowerment, a form of education and enlightenment. It enables people to have access to information and also have an opportunity to express themselves. I am sharing it to the downtrodden within the cities and the rural areas so that they would be abreast with what is happening within their own locality,state,nation and worldwide.
