ENUGU POLICE WARNS ON BLOCKING OF ROAD UNDER ANY GUISE

The Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force  has warned members of the public particularly those in the habit of blocking road under any guise in the state thereby denying other law abiding members of the public access to  pass through especially within Old park , Holyghost cathedral axis and chris chemist axis of the state.





The command also advise members of the public particularly those in the habit of blocking roads under any guise within Gariki Awkunanaw axis,mayor bus stop axis,Abakpa axis,New Market axis as well as Emene amongst other places to have a change of attitude and refrain from such habit as security operatives of the command have been directed to fish out those in this habit  and arrest, impound their vehicles and wares and prosecute them in line with the relevant sections of the law.

According to the command,we will not tolerate a situation whereby some members of the public under whatever guise will be impeding the free flow of traffic within Holy Ghost/Ogbete Axis,Old park and chris chemist as well as new market,Gariki Awkunanaw axis,mayor axis,Abakpa and Emene amongst others and warned that those arrested will be prosecuted in line with the relevant sections of the law.

It could be recalled that the commands operatives of the central police station Enugu on 23/1/16 carried out operations on the Ogbete/Holy Ghost axis/old park and chris chemist where no fewer than 8 persons were arrested for impeding the free flow of traffic through their activities with vehicles/wares on the roads concerned and were later charged to court for conduct likely to cause breach of the peace and traffic obstructions.
