Rumors of a divorce between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt continue to persist.

Now, it appears as though the Hollywood couple is on the verge of a breakup because of Jolie’s sagging career and Pitt’s reported infidelity.

According to Movie News Guide, Pitt’s Allied co-star, Marion Cotillard, is at the center of Brangelina’s crumbling marriage.

Jolie is allegedly jealous that Cotillard won an Oscar back in 2007 and that her husband might have a chance to nab his own next year.

The situation got worse after Pitt started working with Cotillard on Allied.

Apparently, Cotillard is playing a part in the movie that Jolie always wanted to play. It also doesn’t help that Cotillard and Pitt are playing on-screen lovers.

While Hollywood is buzzing about Pitt and Cotillard’s new movie, Jolie’s career has taken a back seat in recent years.

Is Jolie’s sagging career one of the reasons her marriage is falling apart?

According to International Business Times, there is no evidence that Jolie is jealous of Cotillard.

In fact, an inside source told Gossip Cop that the rumors of Jolie’s jealousy are completely “non-sense.”

Furthermore, the reports that Jolie hasn’t had a hit movie since Mr. & Mrs. Smith are also untrue.

Along with making a huge splash in her directorial debut with Unbroken, Jolie experienced success in both Maleficent and the Kung Fu Panda franchise.

Of course, despite her success, Angelina Jolie has yet to take home a lead actress Oscar for her work. (She did win a best-supporting actress Oscar for her work opposite Winona Ryder in Girl, Interrupted.)

Meanwhile, in regard to the infidelity rumors, reports hinted that Pitt and Cotillard were taking their on-screen romance outside of work.

As fans will recall, Jolie and Pitt met each other on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. At the time, Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston.

Pitt and Jolie started dating soon after his divorce from Aniston, sparking speculation that he cheated on the Friends star with Jolie.

According to Game N Guide, Pitt and Cotillard were even seen hanging out with each other and exchanged kisses in public.

These reports have not been confirmed, though this is not the first time that Pitt has been embroiled in cheating allegations.

Are the reports of Pitt’s infidelity driving a wedge between him and Jolie?

For now, there has been no evidence that Pitt and Cotillard are romantically involved in real life.

Even more, Parent Herald is reporting that Pitt recently talked about the Tomb Raider star and opened up Jolie’s complicated medical history.

“You have to understand that this is a woman who never knew she’d make it to 40,” Pitt shared. “This is a woman who had watched her mother, aunt, and grandmother and eventually succumb, at an early age.

 Her drive, her absolute value in herself, is defined by the impact she can have during her time here.”

Jolie underwent a mastectomy a few years ago as a preventive measure against a genetic mutation that runs in her family.

Jolie and Pitt have remained relatively silent about the rumors surrounding their marriage.

Of course, there’s no telling what is happening behind closed doors.

After all, it still isn’t clear what happened between Pitt and Aniston and whether or not he cheated on her with Jolie.

Could the same situation be happening with Pitt and Cotillard?

Until the couple comes out and address the reports, it doesn’t look like they are getting divorced anytime soon.

Pitt’s upcoming film with Cotillard, Allied, is set to hit theaters in November.

The movie is a World War II romantic thriller about two spies who fall in love only to discover that one of them is a double agent.
