Why Nigerian Passport is not Powerful


You can Notice that the List of Countries that Share almost the Same Rank with Nigeria are Countries that are not developed. Nigeria is not bothered on how to develop because Corruption is ranked high in the
country and this has high impact on development. 

Citizens of Nigeria are able to travel to only 44 countries visa free.

Countries that have almost the same rank with Nigerian Passport are CONGO (DEM. REP.)MYANMAR [BURMA], KOSOVO, SOUTH SUDAN, PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES, ERITREA, ETHIOPIA, LIBYA, NORTH KOREA, LEBANON, SUDAN, SRI LANKA, IRAN , NEPAL, BANGLADESH, YEMEN, SYRIA, PAKISTAN, IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN.  

Nigerian Passport is not powerful because of Non inclusive diplomatic relations and Non effective foreign policy. 

Nigeria can increase its rank by negotiating visa liberalization. 

Small Singapore now has the world’s most powerful passport and is ranked 1st.
The city-state grabbed the top spot after Paraguay removed restrictions for Singaporeans.
That means the approximately 3.4 million holders of Singaporean passports can now travel to 159 countries either without a visa at all, or can have one issued on arrival.
Germany is ranked 2nd, with its citizens able to visit 158 countries without a visa, while Sweden and South Korea is ranked 3rd.
Italy, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Norway, Japan is ranked 4th on the list of Powerful passport.
The US passport is in 6th place, alongside Malaysia, Ireland and Canada.
